A Teach One to Lead One® student at Muizenberg High School enjoys the creativity and humor in a lesson on Universal Principles.

Facilitator Dominique Swartz shares in both word and deed the life-changing principle of Excellence.

Students raise their hands to volunteer for the next activity.

Muizenberg High School students let younger students know the benefits of living lives of respect and integrity.

Did you know . . .

• 58% of South African youth are 'very worried' that they will contract AIDS in the future

• 68% of South African youth are 'very worried' they will not get a job.

To address the core issues that contributed to the crisis among the youth of South Africa, Celebrate Life International (CLI) has partnered with South African business-, religious- and educational leaders to deliver a "proudly South African solution" to this crisis.

• The original pilot project in Cape Town, South Africa was completed in November 2007. The successful programme, held at Muizenberg High School, included two 10th grade classes with a 10th grade control group.

• Since then, Project Teach One to Lead One® South Africa has continued at Muizenberg High School and has expanded to Ned Doman High School, also in Cape Town (Athlone). See pictures below.

Ned Doman High School students listen to Dominique as she illustrates the principle of Teamwork.

Students interact to come up with the "Teamwork Formula" – and learn teamwork in the process.

• CLI in the United States is fully committed to make this project continue by sharing over a decade of experience, research, and measurable performance results with leaders in South Africa so they can offer a solution to their youth. Read a write-up in a leading Georgia, USA, newspaper on this pioneering work: Marietta Daily Journal July 2, 2007.
